About me
My name is Patrick. In my spare time I build apps for iOS and Android – for one simple reason: I don’t just want to think up ideas, I want to be able to use them.
Most of my projects start with something that annoys me. Something doesn’t work the way it should, or the app I’m looking for simply doesn’t exist – so I build it. For myself, first. And more often than not it turns out I’m not the only one with that problem. That moment when a thought turns into something you can actually hold in your hand is what really drives me.
How an app feels matters to me just as much as what it does. It should be fast, uncluttered and easy to understand – no bloat, no distractions, no manual required. I’d rather take more time and release later. At the same time I enjoy trying out new things: new platforms, new tools, and lately AI in particular. Not because everyone else is doing it, but because it makes things possible that simply weren’t a few years ago.
